In accordance with the aims of NCC of developing character, discipline, a secular outlook, comradeship, spirit of adventure and selfless service amongst the young citizens, Sophia Girls’ College has always actively encouraged its students to become female Cadets in the NCC. Our students are inspired to venture beyond the ambits of their home and offer dedicated service to the Nation.
The College NCC Unit functions under 5 Raj Girls battalion, Udaipur. There are 50 NCC Cadets in the College under the Caretaker Officer Ms. Shikha Sharma.

HIGHLIGHTS (2019-2020)
  • 11 Cadets attended the All India Girls Trekking Expedition Camp (AIGTE) at Baijnath in Himachal Pradesh and represented Rajasthan in various cultural events. The Cadets secured 3rd position among the 5 Directorates.
  • 25 cadets attended Combined Annual Training Camp at Udaipur and participated in various cultural and sports events. They won 1st Position in both, Group Dance and Group Singing Competition and 1st Position in Kho-Kho Competition. Aakanksha Ranawat got the ‘Best Company Senior’ Certificate.
  • 5 cadets attended Thal Sena Camp held at Ajmer in which Avantika Rathore got the ‘Best Cadet’ Certificate and Bhawana Motwani got the ‘Best Camp Senior’ Certificate.
  • 16 Cadets were selected for the Pre-Inter Group Competition Camp at Bhilwara from which 5 Cadets were further selected to attend the Inter Group Competition Camp held at Jaipur.
  • Senior Under Officer Vijeta Shekhawat went for the International Youth Exchange Program at Singapore, where she was the overall senior and also the Cultural Coordinator. She led 20 Cadets from all over India. Cadets from UK, USA, Brunei, Singapore, Nepal, and Hong Kong participated in this Exchange Program. She also met the Defence Minister of India and visited the Kranji War Memorial at Singapore.
  • Cadet Ankita Singh from B.Com III attended Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp (National Integration Camp) at Udaipur where she got the ‘Best Master of Ceremony’ Gold Medal.
HIGHLIGHTS (2018-19)
  • 27 students attended the Combined Annual Training Camp at Banswara and participated in various cultural and sports events. The Cadets won 2nd Position in Group Singing and Group Dance Competition each, 1st Position in Tug-of-War and Kho-Kho Competition.
  • 8 Cadets were selected for the Pre-Inter Group Competition Camp, from which 4 Cadets were further selected to attend the Inter Group Competition Camp held at Jaipur.
  • Twenty Nine cadets appeared in NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate Examination.
  • Cadet Vijeta Shekhawat of BA Part II attended the three Pre-Republic Day Camps and was awarded the ‘Best Cadet Certificate’. She further got selected to take part in the Republic Day Parade and received the highest honour of NCC DG’s Commendation which was awarded to only four female Cadets from all over India. She was also selected as the Indian Ambassador for the NCC Youth Exchange Program (YEP) 2019.
