About Us

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sophia Girls' College, Ajmer is dedicated towards developing a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the overall academic and administrative performance of the Institution.   • A special open session was organised to acquaint the Parents about the functioning of Autonomy.
  • Parents are regularly notified for Parent Teacher Meetings, Examination dates, Important Events etc through SMS alerts and Web notifications.

  • A special open session was organised to inform the Semester results and overall functioning of Autonomy to the parents.
  • Student performance and progression is regularly notified to them during Parent Teacher Meetings. SMS alerts and Web notifications are used to update them about the examination dates, important Events etc.
  • The Parent Teacher Meeting provides a platform to interact with the concern teacher and keep a track on their wards attendance and academic growth.

Action Taken

  • Special Parent Teacher’s meetings with interactive open sessions with both parents and students was organised to discuss student performance and progression during the year.
  • On suggestions made by the students and parents, many Skill based courses were incorporated to the College curriculum including French language.
  • Annual E-Governance reports highlighted the techno-savvy planning and development, administration and financial functioning process of the Institution. The students/parent portal provides all necessary information about examination alerts, attendance, class performance as well as results.
  • Value added programmes were proposed and sanctioned in both BOM and AC for next session at the Post graduate level.
  • Students Exchange programs were initiated to Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore to promote students-industry interface and also give them field exposure.
  • Research being an essential component in the curriculum, numerous projects, internships, hands-on training sessions and educational trips were organized to provide academic discourses and enhance investigative culture amongst students.

  • Conduction of Parent Teacher meetings is an inevitable practice at Sophia Girls’ College, Ajmer (Autonomous). Parents are regularly updated about their wards’ performance and progression during the meetings.
  • For the benefit and appropriateness of all stakeholders, a customized Enterprise Resource Planning Portal has been developed wherein there is a provision of accessing E Content, E Tutorial, Web Resources and an exclusive feature of Self-Assessment. The ERP is in consonance with - The Four Quadrant Model of E-Learning (as prescribed by the UGC). The Student/Parent portal provides all necessary information about students’ enrolment, attendance, examination alerts, class performance which can be regularly monitored by the Parents.
  • The E-Governance report highlights the effective planning and development, administration and financial functioning process of the Institution through the online mode.
  • For the convenience of the stakeholders, results are declared online and there are provisions for procuring admit cards, transcripts and other documents through the same portal.
  • On the suggestion of stakeholders during Parent Teachers Meeting, Master’s Program in Chemistry, Diploma Programs in French, Journalism, Yoga and GIS were initiated this session.
  • The College sends regular updates about every event, functions, due dates, exam dates, College closure etc through SMS to the ward’s parents.
  • The College also has a provision of having a Parent Representative in their Statutory Body actively contributing to Institutional building. The Parents give their valuable suggestions for academic, professional and technical growth of the Institution.

The customized Enterprise Resource Planning Portal of the Institution has a provision of accessing E Content, E Tutorial, Web Resources and an exclusive feature of students’ Self-Assessment. The Student/Parent portal provides all necessary information about students’ enrolment, attendance, examination alerts, class performance as well as results, which can be regularly monitored by the Parents as well.
  • During the CORONA Lockdown period in India, the Institution adapted a revolutionary step and strengthened its E Learning Mechanism. The experienced, knowledgeable and vibrant Staff of the Institution took a step ahead and conducted regular Online Classes for all students for a period on nearly two month using ZOOM, Google classroom, Hangout MEET, WEBX and ISPRING Desktop software teaching, mentoring and facilitating the ongoing learning process.
  • The Institution is sensitive and conscientious towards its stakeholders. The Student/Parent portal provides all necessary information about students’ enrolment, attendance, examination alerts, class performance. The results are declared online and there are provisions for procuring admit cards, transcripts and other documents through the students portals.
  • As per the suggestions given by the Parents during PTMs, the Institution introduced many new programs such as M.A in History, M. A in Sociology, B.Com. Hons., Integrated M.Sc. in Computer Science (4 years),
  • To keep the parents informed and abreast with the entire functioning of the Institution, the College sends regular updates about every event, functions, due dates, exam dates, College closure etc through SMS to the ward’s parents.
  • The College values the opinions of its stakeholders. It has a provision of having a Parent Representative in the Statutory Body, wherein they actively participate and give fruitful suggestion for the development of the Institution as a whole.

  • Library facilities were upgraded- INFLIBNET services were introduced, Wi Fi facility were provided in the Library, OPAC was initiated.
  • To promote research, a Research and Development Cell was established.

  • National and International Conferences and Workshops on “Research Methodology”, “Relevance of Gandhi in Post Liberalization India”and “Dispora, Multicultural and Quest for Identity” were organized to research promotion.
  • This session, “Rajasthan State Certificate of Information Technology” (RSCIT) course was introduced for students to enhance their technical skills.
  • Formal Coaching for Competitive/ Civil Service Examinations was started at the Campus for students.
  • To promote Extracurricular Activities, Certificate Courses in : Yoga, Dramatics, Self Defense, Aerobics, Tourism, Human Rights, Family Life Education, Personality Development, Bonsai, Vermiculture were introduced.

  • M.Sc. Chemistry and Physical Education as an optional subject were started this year on student’s demand.
  • The College inaugurated an ISRO sponsored Outreach Centre setup for conducting Government sponsored geospatial programs on campus.
  • National Conferences on “Advances in Science & Technology- an Interdisciplinary Approach” and “Emerging Trend & Scope in the Banking Sector” were organized to develop rational and critical thinking amongst students and create a research environment.
  • National workshop on “Research Methodology and Data Analysis using Data Mining Tools” was organized for students to enhance their technical skills in data handling and processing.
  • Remedial Classes started on the campus as a regular feature for slow learners.
  • Special exams are conducted for students who absent themselves while representing the College at National, International University level in sports or Cultural activities.

  • It was suggested by the employers that curriculum should be upgraded as per the current requirement and the request was conveyed to the Board of studies of all steams. And as per the suggestion the curriculum was revised and topic related with employability and entrepreneurial skills were introduced.
  • It was also suggested to introduce ICT tools in classrooms so all the faculty members were informed to use the ICT Tools in classroom.
  • For the enhancement of library facilities, some more text books and reference books were purchased.
