The lusciously green College Campus is spread over an area of 9.9 acres with ten sports fields and courts, eight gardens, a hostel and the various blocks situated on the strategic entrance to the Holy City of Ajmer on Jaipur Road. The College Campus is situated at the foothills of the Aravalli hills, making for picturesque scenery especially during the monsoons. If one loves the greens, the College campus boasts of two flower gardens, one cactus and botanical garden each and two organic fruit and vegetable gardens and two lawns with seasonal summer & winter flowers, which suffuse the Campus with their enchanting sillage. Regular flora and fauna audits are also done in the College.
The College offers a safe space of moral uplift, exploration and growth for girls. There is a well facilitated Hostel with the capacity of 150 undergraduate students of all streams. The hostel seats are allotted on merit basis. There is a balanced blend of study, games and recreational activities. The residents of the Hostel have always worked hard to provide the much needed support in organizing events, scripts, rangoli, music and performances. The Hostel facilitates a conducive environment for moral and spiritual development, thus helping to raise confident and poised women ready to face challenges around her. The College boasts of one of the finest modern, state-of-the-art Indoor Stadium-cum-Auditorium in the State with professional light & sound system and a seating capacity of over 2000 people. All the major College events such as Sophiesta-the Annual College Fest, Annual Day, Nazaakat- the Fashion Show, Management Day, Maintenance Day, Teachers Day, and Annual Plays etc. are successfully hosted in the Stadium-cum-Auditorium. The Stadium also hosts sporting events like Boxing, Taekwondo, Badminton, Table Tennis etc. during the Annual Sports Meet. Daily assemblies are conducted in this magnificent place.
The College facilitates space for creative expression and intensive academic discourse and the College Multi Purpose Auditorium serves the same function. Talks by Guest Speakers, Workshops, Annual Debates etc. are held here. The air-conditioned state-of-the-art Auditorium with a seating capacity of about 500 people with a theatre screen and high quality acoustic panels is also a perfect place for the screening of movies by the Staff and students.
The first block that one encounters as one enters the main gate of the College is the Administrative Block of the College—the initiation of all activities and thoughts. It includes the Principal, Vice-Principal, Financial Administrator’s Office, Reception Room, College Administrative Office, Accounts Section, and an Examination Cell on the first floor. Students and Parents have access to the Office for their admission, fee payment, student’s scholarship, registration and degree, and all other educational purposes.
The Arts Block houses all the Departments of the Arts Section and is one of the oldest of the College wings. The Wing has well equipped and functional English Language Laboratory, GIS Lab, along with Practical Rooms for all relevant subjects.
The Department of Commerce and Management is housed in the St. Clare Block. Every classroom is Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with a computer and latest audio-visual technology.
The Science Block houses the Faculty of Science with subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, with its impressive laboratories and is situated on the right of the Arts Block. It has provision of well equipped furnished individual laboratories for Basic Sciences and an impressive Museum
This Block is the latest addition in the College Campus. Ten brand-new advanced classes have been constructed for the disciplines of Sociology, Economics, History and Psychology. The classes are spacious, ventilated & well-lit and equipped with modern furniture; internet enabled computers and latest audio-visual technology have been provided in every classroom.
The College curriculum believes in ‘Learning-by-Doing’. To promote experiential learning to the students, the College has 19 well-equipped Laboratories and Museums for: English Language, Geography, GIS, Home Science, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science and Commerce.
Equipped with modern machines, Sophia College has its own state-of-the-art Gymnasium which is the perfect place to maintain a healthy body and mind.
The College is proud to boast of a half Olympic size pool. The swimming complex consists of the pool arena, automatic purification and cleaning systems, change and rest facilities. Swimming classes are conducted by a trained professional coach on a monthly payment basis.
A plush, air- conditioned Conference Room is available for Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Faculty Development Programs etc. The Seminar Room can seat about 120 people and is equipped with audio-visual facilities and individual microphones.
'Snack-Shack' the College Cafeteria is a space creatively revamped by the students of Picasso – the Artistic Club themselves. A hub for out-of-class discussions and exchange of information, the College Cafeteria provides snacks and non aerated beverages to satisfy those hunger pangs.
College life is not just about academics and co-curricular activities; it is also about making friends and sharing experiences. Sophia College has multiple sit-outs which enable the students to indulge in debates, discussions, impromptu singing or simple ruminations of life, thus creating memories for the coming years.
There are multiple parking areas of four wheelers and two wheelers for both the staff and students.
The Institution provides Banking Facility in the vicinity of the College for easy withdrawals and payment of fees. The Sophia School Extension Counter of Canara Bank is across the road. The Branch is extremely convenient for various members of the college community. An ATM machine is right next to the branch, for easy withdrawals.

Internet facility is available for the students who want to work on the computer while in college, surf the net in their free time and be technologically in tune with the world. This also provides print-out and reprography facilities to the students while on campus.
The College has a fully stocked Infirmary with a wheelchair, blood pressure monitor, basic medicines and First Aid facilities with a full time resident Nurse on Campus. The College also has medical support from St. Francis Hospital, Ajmer with on call Ambulance facility.
The College Library is housed in the ‘Clarissa Block’. It was established in 1959 “to promote knowledge generation and application through its effective dissemination”. It acts as the prime Information Resource Centre and repository of printed and e-resources that supports teaching, research and academic activities of the College. The Faculty Members and students of the College are entitled to access the Library facilities and services. The Library has myriad sections for its proper functioning like Acquisition Section, Technical Section, Circulation Section, Periodical Section, Reference Section, Reprographic Section, Newspaper Corner, E-Resource Lab / Digital Library.
The Library has a separate e-Resource Lab which is exclusively used for the online access of e-Journals, e-Books and other e-Resources provided by the “National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content” (N-LIST consortium) of INFLIBNET Center, Gandhinagar. Central Library has fully computerized catalogue search facility available to the users through internet. The Online Public Access catalog allows users to access of bibliograpic databases of the books available in the central library. One can search Library books by Author, Title and Accession Number through OPAC. The Library Staff are always available to assist students and Faculty in finding study material needed for their course work and research pursuits.
The College stresses on all round development and well-being of its students and thus has a well-equipped Sports Department. The College is proud to facilitate 10 Playgrounds and Courts for games like Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Softball, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton and Table Tennis, thus being the host of the Inter Collegiate University Tournaments for many years. The students are provided daily coaching on the Campus by Professional Coaches for sports like Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Softball, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Boxing. The College also offers a Diploma in Yoga, and Health and Well-Being courses like aerobics, swimming, yoga and gym for First year students.

The College provides counselling related to academic programmes during the Admission process so as to enable the students in making informed choices regarding their course of study. The College and its Departments regularly organize Career Talks by experts from diverse fields for students to know about prospective career options. The College also has Mentor-Mentee system that assigns a teacher to every student to whom they can go for career counselling as well. The College Counselor also provides career counselling.
The College has a Counselling Centre in its Campus. A well qualified and professionally trained Counselor helps students with their psychological and emotional problems and offers psychotherapy as well. The Counselling Centre services are available for three hours on a daily basis.
