Training and Placement Cell

The Training and Placement Cell (TPC) of Sophia College (Autonomous), Ajmer serves as a vital bridge between academic learning and professional success. With a vision to empower students and shape future-ready professionals, the cell consistently strives to nurture talent, build confidence, and create meaningful career opportunities.

During the academic session 2025–26, the TPC actively organized a range of initiatives focused on enhancing employability, skill development, and industry exposure.

Objectives of the Training & Placement Cell

  • To enhance students’ employability by developing communication, personality, and interview skills.
  • To strengthen technical knowledge along with aptitude, reasoning, and soft skills.
  • To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
  • To provide practical exposure through internships, workshops, and industrial visits.
  • To facilitate campus placements by inviting reputed recruiters and organizing placement drives.
  • To guide students in making informed career choices, including higher education and competitive exams.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with industries and organizations for continuous opportunities.

Highlights of Session 2025-26

  • On 30th August 2025, a seminar on “CV Writing and LinkedIn Profiling” was conducted in the college auditorium with the participation of 208 students. The session was delivered by Mr. Prashanth B., Senior Manager (Corporate Relationship),ISDC, who provided valuable insights into effective resume writing, professional presentation, and the importance of LinkedIn as a professional networking platform. Students gained practical knowledge about building strong resumes and enhancing their digital presence.
  • Another important activity was conducted on 3rd September 2025 in the form of a Student Knowledge Sharing Program on “Group Discussion and Personal Interview,” attended by 96 students. The session was facilitated by Namita Kumari Solanki and Krishna Solanki from ICFAI Business School. This interactive program focused on improving communication skills,developing confidence, and preparing students for recruitment processes through practical exposure and mock sessions.
  • Additionally, a seminar was organized on 12th December 2025 in collaboration with Jaipuria College, Jaipur, which provided students with external exposure and enhanced their understanding of academic and industry expectations.
  • In terms of placement outcomes, the Training and Placement Cell achieved commendable success during the session 2025–26 with participation from multiple reputed organizations. Mayo College, Ajmer, a prestigious educational institution known for academic excellence, selected 1 student. Deutsche Bank, a leading global banking and financial services company,selected 8 students, making it one of the major recruiters of the session. Pravah, an organization working in the social development sector, selected 1 student for the role of Associate Consultant
  • In the technology and consulting domain, Xebia India Pvt. Ltd., a global IT consulting and digital transformation company, selected 3 students, while Cyntexa, a growing IT solutions and Salesforce consulting company, also provided opportunities to 1 student.
  • In the training and skill development sector, Qspiders, a well-known software training and placement organization, selected the highest number of students, with 11 students placed, reflecting strong demand in the IT training domain.Satguru Pvt. Ltd., a company engaged in consultancy and analytics services, selected 6 students, offering roles in business and data-related profiles.
  • In the emerging business and startup ecosystem, Travelykke, a travel and tourism-based startup, selected 3 students,while Facto, a company involved in business services, selected 1 student. CollegeSathi, an education support and student service platform, selected 3 students, contributing to opportunities in the education technology sector.

These placements reflect the diverse opportunities provided across sectors such as banking, IT, consulting, education, and startups. The overall placement performance demonstrates the effectiveness of the Training and Placement Cell in connecting students with industry and preparing them for professional roles.

The activities and placement drives conducted throughout the year resulted in significant positive outcomes. Students demonstrated improvement in resume writing, communication skills, and interview performance. The initiatives helped in boosting confidence, enhancing industry awareness, and increasing employability. The collaboration with reputed organizations further strengthened the professional network of the institution.

In conclusion, the Training and Placement Cell successfully fulfilled its objectives during the academic year 2025–26 by organizing impactful activities and achieving notable placement outcomes. The efforts of the cell have contributed significantly to the holistic development of students and have laid a strong foundation for future growth. The cell remains committed to continuing such initiatives to further enhance students’ career prospects and professional success.
