Institutional Innovation Council(IIC)
Sophia College (Autonomous), Ajmer proudly hosts a vibrant and fully functional Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC),
established in accordance with the guidelines of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The
Council is committed to fostering an institutional ecosystem that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and
problem-solving aptitude among students. With a vision to transform ideas into impactful solutions, the IIC actively
promotes entrepreneurship, design thinking, and problem-solving skills. It acts as a catalyst in bridging the gap
between academic learning and real-world application, empowering students to become future-ready innovators and leaders.
Objectives of the IIC
- To cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the institution
- To promote ideation, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills among students
- To organize capacity-building activities such as workshops, seminars, expert lectures, and innovation-driven events
- To facilitate the development of innovative projects, prototypes, and startup ideas
- To strengthen industry–academia interaction and collaborative partnerships
- To encourage research, intellectual property generation, and participation in national innovation initiatives
